Visiting Authors Series

Visiting Author Spotlight - Carrie Finison

On April 15th, Carrie Finison will be visiting Meadowbrook!

Carrie writes children’s books with humor and heart that are fun to read aloud. Her books include Dozens of Doughnuts and the sequel, Plenty of Pancakes; Don’t Hug Doug, an ALA Notable Children’s Book; Even Steven: A Book About Sharing; Lulu & Zoey: A Sister Story; Hurry, Little Tortoise, Time for School; Pigs Dig a Road; and Touch a Truck Day, a lift-the-flap board book. Carrie will be speaking to  JK-2nd grade in two separate sessions - a reading for JK/SK and a writing workshop for Grades 1-2.

Our Visiting Author Fund comes from the Meadowbrook Book Fair (this week!) and from our book sales.  Every book sold helps support future author visits at Meadowbrook.

Please consider purchasing one (or more) of Carrie’s books for your child! All books purchased will be personally signed by Carrie and delivered to students’ cubbies during the week of her visit.  The deadline to purchase Carrie’s books through Meadowbrook’s online store will be Tuesday March 31st.  We know timing is tight with spring break, so please be sure to place your orders before then!
